Solar Risk for GNSS applications @European Space Weather Week

The project "Solar Risk Service for Critical GNSS Applications", with Bluecover's contribution, was presented on the 11th Edition of the European Space Weather Week, held on 17-21nd November 2014 in Liège, Belgium (see fair session).

The study, lead Present Technologies and also with the participation of Astronomical Observatory of Coimbra and DC Ventures, identified the best business opportunities on Oil & Gas and Aviation sectors where Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) represents key infrastructure for operations.

This fair constituted the 1st international public participation of the project, towards the provision of a regional level monitoring and forecast service that can anticipate the occurrence of solar events, susceptible to cause perturbations on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS).
